The Importance of HCG Diet Maintenance

HCG Phase 3 is referred to as the diet maintenance phase and is the most important part on how to quit the HCG diet. As it is with any diet or eating program, you want to keep off what the weight you worked so hard to lose.

I totally messed this up and had to go back and lose my weight again, not fun, not healthy for and not something I would recommend so please learn from my mistake.

You can keep the weight off if you follow this protocol as it helps reset your body so the fat stays gone. In addition, this is a great way to continue to eat once you are totally off the plan.

When to Quit

If you are taking the natural homeopathic form of HCG, you listen to your body and determine when to quit.

Say you have been losing an average of 6 pounds per week, and you notice that the last week or so, you have dropped to 4 pounds. This is a sign that you might want to quit as your body is getting used to the HCG and is not utilizing it like it did. You may want to maintain for a few weeks and then go back on it.

Of course, if you reached your goal you can quit and go into phase 3 also.

For those taking injections you go into the maintenance phase in between rounds.

How To Quit the HCG Diet - HCG Phase 3

First you stop taking your supplement and it takes about 3 weeks to flush out the hormone from your body. Exciting part, is that you can have any food you want as long as it is not a starch or carbohydrate for three weeks. Starches are such things as potatoes, chips, corn, rice, bread... you get the idea.

It is actually a very healthy way to eat on a regular basis and is considered part of a glycemic eating plan.

Yeah!!! You can add fat back into your diet. Please use healthy fats like olive oil, coconut oil, etc and stay away from hydrogenated oils and trans fats. The unhealthy fats are not good for your body and will make it more likely for you to put the weight back on.

You can basically expand the menu in the diet phase into the maintenance phase. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, moderate amounts of protein and fat.

Based on what you can eat, you will be staying away from processed foods so you will probably be eating a lot healthier than you ever have.

Keep this part of the program intact and your weight will stay gone.

After Quitting

Do consider a low glycemic lifestyle. It is a great way to treat your body helps ward off metabolic issues such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure.
